Author Biography

Miguel Angel Hernandez Jr. is an award-winning published author who specializes in murder and mystery novellas. However, he loves to keep things fresh and interesting by dabbling in suspense, thriller, humor, horror, action, and even Sci-Fi.

His bestselling series, Griffin Knight, centers around the adventures of renowned New York City detective Griffin Knight, a lone wolf who has a penchant for dangerous situations — even those beyond his jurisdiction.

As a writer, Hernandez aims to please. That is why, as one of his favorite pastimes, he scours the internet for reviews on his books so he can spin stories that truly resonate with his readers.

His influence goes beyond literature and taps into the world of TV, with favorites such as Perry Mason, Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, Jack Reacher, Dirty Harry, Paul Kersey, Arcane, and My Hero Academia.

Hernandez earned his bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo and likes to go to church with family, watch anime, and work out during his downtime.

The fourth book in Miguel Angel Hernandez Jr.’s award-winning series, The Windy City Terror is a Griffin Knight Horror Mystery. After escaping Sapphire Rushland’s repeated attempts on his life, Griffin Knight, a former homicide detective turned private investigator, and his closest circle of friends move to Chicago just before Christmas. “Griff” and his brother Alister establish a business they call Knight Chasers and they investigate cases in the area. Alister leaves Chicago to return to Seattle for a short time. In his brother’s absence, Griff uncovers the nefarious killings of the “Slay Bells Beast” as it tears across the city in an almost indiscernible pattern. Using his unique skill set and slightly futuristic weaponry, Griff unravels an astonishing set of circumstances that lead to the murderer.

Miguel Angel Hernandez Jr. has given his audience another fantastic book. The urban and marginally science fiction feel is just realistic enough to be credible. The author has researched the scientific elements in his story, and the results are mind-blowing. Hernandez provides different vantage points, shifting seamlessly from one character to the next. The plot will draw readers in from the first chapter and keep them turning pages until the end. The Griffin Knight Series is a collection that should preferably be read from beginning to end, but the author provides enough information about the ongoing backstory that readers can pick up any of the books and read them as stand-alone novellas. The Windy City Terror is bound to win more awards for Hernandez, so readers should grab the newest installment in the series quickly.
