These Are Colors by Cintia Roman-Garbelotto is an educational book for young readers that will take them into a whole new enchanting world of color. Everyone lives in a world filled with colors that bring brightness and radiance into their lives. While growing up, children associate colors with objects and things around them initially until they are familiar and comfortable with the names. The author teaches kids the names of colors in an interactive way, using pictures, colors, illustrations and rhyming verses to make it simple and easy for them to learn and comprehend.

I enjoyed the manner in which the author pulls readers into the book. The rhyming verses for each color give the kids ideas on how and what to relate with each color. The illustrations are adorable and they complement the author's concepts and words beautifully. It's a delightful book that can be read out by parents and grandparents to their kids and grandkids. It is also an ideal book to teach colors to small kids in a fun and interesting way. The book, apart from introducing kids to colors, also introduces them to new things, animals and rhyming words.

Educational books that convey messages are perfect for kids when they get into reading. It's the easiest way to teach them something new without making them feel that they are learning. This book, along with the other books in this series about shapes and numbers, are worth owning in one's personal collection.
