Author Madhu Bazaz Wangu, Ph.D., offers a systematic 365-day program in her self-help book Unblock Your Creative Flow: 12 Months of Mindfulness for Writers and Artists. The book aims to increase the creativity and productivity of those in the fields of writing and art. In order to help people reach and maximize their full creative potential, this daily plan includes meditation, excursions into the outdoors, reading, journaling, and other written exercises. Readers can access their inner creativity, find their purpose, and attain clarity and concentration in their artistic endeavors by engaging in mindfulness practices along with cultivating discipline. This all-encompassing strategy takes into account a person's bodily, mental, and spiritual needs to enable intentional and meaningful living.

“An inner journey like this that you have chosen to walk upon demands commitment,” says Dr. Madhu Bazaz Wangu, but I can assure you that Unblock Your Creative Flow rarely feels like a book of self-help chores. Yes, commitment is essential but the ease with which her book enables you to harness this cannot be stressed enough. Dr. Wangu's structured daily activities are clear and concise in what she intends us to do, and I loved how her journal prompts made every single entry flow. As a person who adores drinking tea, Day 237 and its Drinking Tea Meditation exercise was my favorite. Spending time thinking of everything that went into that cup was new to me. As she promised, it filled my space and in that moment I was completely relaxed. I think this book is a work that will be of benefit to more than just creatives and am certain that others who take time for themselves, and Dr. Wangu, will feel the same. Very highly recommended.
