Author Biography

H. L. Wegley served as a USAF Intelligence Analyst, working with NSA, and a Weather Officer. In civilian life, he worked as a research scientist at a national lab, publishing in the scientific literature, then developed Boeing computing systems before he and his wife retired near Seattle, where they enjoy small-group ministry, their grandchildren, hiking Olympic Park beaches and where he writes high-action romantic suspense novels. He is a multi-published author with a 4-book inspirational thriller series, a 3-book political thriller series, 2 nonfiction books, and 3 more novels on the way.
Voice in the Wilderness expresses his concern that our national character is being steadily stripped away. But instead of dwelling on this downward spiral, he wrote an uplifting story that focuses on what it would take, if the USA slipped into tyranny, to return it to its roots, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
There are many pessimists who have written off the younger generation, but the author has hope for the Millennials. From them will come America’s future leaders. So, he crafted a story where 3 early-twenties couples play a key role in stopping a would-be tyrant as America teeters on the brink of tyranny.

Voice of Freedom by H.L. Wegley is a political thriller laced with action and intrigue, a game of power that will appeal very much to fans of Ludlum thrillers, only this time the setting isn’t what most readers are used to. Set against the United States of America during a time of unbridled tyranny, this thriller, book 2 in the Against All Enemies series, features very compelling characters and follows a few brave souls who can’t stomach the ruthlessness of an unforgiving dictator. No one can stand up against President Abe Hannan, or so he and the world think, until six brave men decide to mount a resistance. The six men, led by Steve Bancroft, know they mustn’t make a mistake in any step they take going forward. Can they succeed in overthrowing a powerful government that will do anything to suppress the slightest form of resistance?

H.L. Wegley has crafted a very intense thriller, and the budding love story comes in as a great teaser and a device to create suspense. Readers want to know what will become of Steve Bancroft and the woman he is irresistibly drawn to; Julia. The sense of danger that permeates the entire story keeps the reader’s pulse high. Voice of Freedom features very powerful themes and, at a critical time in US politics, this book comes across as a warning of a fate that can befall the government. H.L. Wegley’s writing is as compelling and enticing as the story he tells. Highly recommended for readers looking for an engaging and entertaining read.
