“A better life and a better future can be yours. The time is now. Are you ready to believe?” Wealth Through Prayer by Michael Wright is a guide for building an understanding of prayer, having a relationship with God, and the impact that prayer has on our wants and desires. Most people honestly do want more money and to have nice things, and that in and of itself is not wrong. Wright shares early on that the good news is, we can have those things! God wants us to prosper, and He wants to satisfy those desires of our hearts because He loves us. Wealth Through Prayer is different than similar books on prosperity because author Michael Wright does not sugar coat things, and is quick to say that “nothing in life worth having is free”. But what does it mean for us? What do we have to do in order to prosper?
Author Michael Wright has done an excellent job of creating a book that is easy to read, backed by scripture, and accomplishes what it promises to. Wealth Through Prayer looks deeper than the simplistic concept of simply ask and God will give it to you, and into what it really means to pray faithfully. I found the steps Wright created to be very inspiring, and in accordance with scripture. It is not solely about changing your actions, but about changing your heart. Wealth Through Prayer illustrates that wealth goes much deeper than just money; there are freedom and purpose to be had, which is far more valuable. It is easy to be skeptical of books of this nature, and rightfully so, and this is why I fully appreciated Wright’s realistic approach to not only financial prosperity but spiritual prosperity as well.
