What a Wonderful World is a work of fiction penned by author Dennis Bailey in the Christian fiction, mystery, and fantasy adventure subgenres and is suitable for the general adult reading audience. In this gripping tale of mystery and exploration, a series of unusual events unfolds that plunges the world into uncertainty. The narrative revolves around Brandon Foxworth, an ecology professor, and Taylor Grant, a reporter, who find themselves thrust into a reality where the lights go out, birds disappear, and the natural order of the world is upended.

Author Dennis Bailey has crafted a deeply compelling and atmospheric plot filled with science and the supernatural, inviting readers on a journey chock full of suspense and curiosity. The mix of characters complements each other well, and I very much enjoyed the collaboration between Brandon, Taylor, and the Biblical scholar Marcy Cambridge as their dialogues blend scientific inquiry with spiritual exploration. The tone is well set for open-minded inquiry and exploration, and Bailey utilizes a lot of emotive imagery and clever descriptions to paint us an enigmatic landscape where every revelation sparks more questions. The exploration of this bold and strange world raises profound existential and theological questions, making it a thought-provoking read that stays with you long after you’ve set it down. Overall, I’d highly recommend What a Wonderful World as a Christian adventure filled with suspense and intellectual curiosity, keeping readers eagerly turning the pages to unravel the mysteries embedded in this wonderfully crafted narrative.

What a Wonderful World by Dennis Bailey holds the attention of the reader from the very first page with a simple thing like a firefly’s light just disappearing although they are still flying. The main characters are Brendan Foxworth, an ecology professor, and his wife Carol, and reporter Taylor Grant. When just about every species of bird on earth disappears, the two men come together to find out what is happening, with the help of Marcy Cambridge, a biblical scholar. The author has taken one of the most controversial books in the Bible and written a most enlightening, heartfelt, inspiring, and moving book. Dennis uses the stories in the Bible to the point of giving the reader chapter and verse. The whole Bible is used to emphasize the clues and hints that are given in the Book of Revelation. The author holds the reader's attention to the very last page and adds an unexpected twist to the ending.

What a Wonderful World shows everyone what happens when God and Jesus decide to remove some of the wonderful things in the world that we take for granted and that man has come to rely on heavily without appreciating them. In times of crisis, you will always find those people who will exploit the seriousness of the situation to their advantage and can even manipulate world governments. The author has given the reader a book with romance, murder, mayhem, and food for thought in this story about what the world has done to Christianity as a whole and where we are headed. The book gives the reader lots to ponder, especially when the year (2023) comes to an end. This is a book the reader will pick up again and again, especially in times of crisis. Thank you for a most inspiring read. A book well worth reading.

What a Wonderful World by Dennis Bailey is an inspiring Christian novel. It unfolds as ecologist Brandon Foxworth and his wife are watching their children chase fireflies in their backyard. They notice that the lights from the fireflies disappear simultaneously. On the other hand, Taylor Grant, a reporter with the Richmond Herald, discovers one morning that all the flowers on his front porch are wilting. After this comes a series of natural events all over the world fueling Brandon's and Taylor’s determination to investigate and report on the strange natural phenomena happening to nature itself. Their common quest brings them together and their search for answers leads them to Marcy Cambridge, a woman who has studied the words of the Bible all her life. Will they find out what is happening before it is too late?

Dennis Bailey’s What a Wonderful World is an entertaining and moving novel that is a must-read for everyone. Tension starts at the beginning of the story and continues to heighten on every page. This is a Christian novel with a modern spin and is thus relatable to Christians and non-Christians alike. Two of the main protagonists are themselves non-Christians. What makes this novel stand out is the character development of the main protagonists so that the story’s Christian theme emerges very naturally. Dennis Bailey’s genius in writing, however, lies in his ability to deal with the subject of science versus faith interestingly and delicately. Highly recommended!
