Immerse yourself in the story of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, from a perspective few have seen before. In A Mother's Walk Through Scripture, Donna Silveira focuses on the life of the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, who spent thirty years of her life with Him and was His first and foremost disciple, long before the twelve Apostles. When the angel Gabriel reveals to Mary she is the one to give birth to the Lord, she humbly accepts her responsibility. Even after learning Simeon's sorrowful prophecy, Mary dedicates her life to following the teachings and path of Jesus, from witnessing His first public ministry to His crucifixion at Golgotha and eventually His resurrection and ascension. Despite facing enormous trials and tribulations, Mary remains meek yet resolute throughout her life, practicing forgiveness and praying for salvation.

Donna Silveira offers readers a rare look into Jesus' journey as never seen before, primarily focusing on the role of Mary and her place in some of the most significant events in the earthly life of Jesus Christ. A Mother's Walk Through Scripture is a powerful study and analysis of one of history's most memorable and influential people. This is a gem of a book for religious scholars and theologists. Silveira takes a fresh approach to a story that's been told throughout history, offering readers a chance to see the events play out through the eyes of an observer who sacrificed so much to follow the path of God. Although primarily written for Christians, I think non-Christian readers will also learn a lot from this book. I found it very informative, educational, and inspiring. Highly recommended.

A Mother's Walk Through Scripture by Donna Silveira is a look at biblical passages from Mary's perspective. The author recounts Mary's experiences through scripture as she applies certain moments to parallel the prophecy of the Messiah or Jesus's journey to crucifixion. Revealed in joyful, luminous, sorrowful, and glorious mysteries, Silveira acknowledges a "fruit" of the mystery for readers to reflect upon. Silveira explains the Hail Mary Prayer, The Gloria Patri, and The Lord's Prayer and applies some Beatitudes to Mary's suffering and humility while comparing Mary's womb to the Ark of the Covenant and detailing what Jesus meant to His mother.

Donna Silveira has compiled an insightful book that may help many people in their quest for a deeper understanding of Mary's presence in her son's life. Comparatively, the twelve apostles were with Jesus for a short time, and many people wonder what Mary taught Him - or He taught her - during His life. Although she makes some assumptions about Mary's feelings, Silveira's thoughts can be validated by applying them to the emotions of loving mothers. She inspires readers to search for Jesus through His mother, and she will guide them to her son. I am a mother of seven children, and this book was an inspiration, reminding me that my children are God's children, and He has entrusted them to my care. A Mother's Walk Through Scripture is not a book that should be limited to Catholics but introduced to anyone who believes in Jesus and seeks to understand Him on a deeper level.

Donna Silveira's A Mother's Walk Through Scripture is a theological study that harnesses the perspective of Mary and its significance in grasping Christ's life. Silveira connects the Rosary to meditating on Christ's journey from Mary's viewpoint and tells of Mary's pivotal moments like the Annunciation and Visitation, drawing biblical parallels and underscoring her empathy, humility, endurance, and crucial role in Jesus' life. Mary's evolution in comprehending Jesus' mission proves her support during moments like the wedding at Cana and Jesus' preaching. Mary's role as a spiritual mediator aids in seeking Jesus through prayer, reflecting on her virtues akin to the Beatitudes. Silveira uses Mary's grasp of Jesus' divinity, her importance in the Eucharist, and her unwavering faith amid suffering to guide readers to surrender to God's will and seek her intercession.

In A Mother's Walk Through Scripture, author Donna Silveira does an exceptional job of showing us Mary's pivotal role in Christian theology as a guiding figure in faith, endurance, and the anticipation of divine promise. Like most, I knew who she was but did not genuinely consider her life to be an exemplary lesson in unwavering devotion and trust in God's plan. As a mother, it is almost impossible to imagine having such grace and hope in the depths of extreme sorrow. Her journey spans the cradling of her newborn Jesus to embracing His broken body at the crucifixion, and Silveira breathes life and renewed interest into the significance of this. The writing is authoritative and strong, balancing the weight of the message with the love and compassion it requires. Her work is accessible to all readers and is a shining example of how to write devotionals and studies in an impactful way. Very highly recommended.
