Absolute Revenge is an outstanding psychological thriller by Margie Miklas. Allison Jamison, an ICU traveling nurse, is found on the bathroom floor. There was a needle in her arm, suggesting that she is a drug user. Allison’s fiancé, Mark Derning, wakes up after three days in the ICU after drinking a cappuccino at a café. The cappuccino was drugged with fentanyl and was intended to kill Mark. There has to be a connection between the attack on Allison and the attempted murder of Mark. Mark and Allison decide to go on a long overdue romantic holiday to Italy to escape the stalker and spend time together. In the meantime, the hospital is investigating missing doses of fentanyl, and Justin Tensington is under suspicion. Justin loves stalking his victims and creating fear and chaos in their lives. Justin follows Mark and Allison to Italy.
Absolute Revenge by Margie Miklas is an absolute page-turner. The plot was complex and jam-packed with non-stop action. It was fast-paced but never felt rushed. There were so many twists in the storyline that I never knew what to expect next. It was intense and exciting at the same time. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next turn of events. The characters were well-developed and realistic. They were relatable and could be anyone I know. The story was superbly written and had me guessing until the end. I could not even put it down for one minute. I didn't expect the ending, and it was fitting after the twists and turns in the story.
