Nick Shuman is a lawyer who is willing to take a chance, risk his life, and fight for what he believes in. Joe Munoz is the client who has lots of money and will not go away quietly. Bernie Drexel and Paul Dibble stand with Nick, offering help, protection, and guidance. Universal Insurance and Les Armbrister are the bad guys who'll do whatever it takes to win the case and get control of the ranch, with help from Vladimir Martinovich, the leader of the Russian mob. When Joe refuses to sell his ranch and hires Nick to defend his actions, life quickly changes for everyone involved. Nick, Bernie, Paul, and Joe face deadly threats; innocent people are killed and injured; an old murder case is revived; romance is destroyed, and so much more.

Adverse Possession by Kirk Marty is indeed a thriller with real life facts mixed into a fiction story that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The story is told in great detail and there is excitement on every page. It's a realistic look at life, but is mostly a fictional thriller with a great plot and interesting characters. I particularly enjoyed the very last paragraph – it totally completed the story. Overall, a good read. If you enjoy murder, mystery, and real estate drama, then this is the book for you.
