In Bride Swap by Beth Carter, Paige is a popular newscaster who has it all: a great job on the news desk, and a clandestine engagement to the anchor at their rival station. She’s keeping the engagement a secret until they can quietly plan a wedding that’s sure to make a splash on the local scene but there is an unexpected development. Her boss decided to shake things up and put her on a new assignment covering sports. Suddenly, she’s away from her desk and traveling with a new co-anchor hoping to make his mark in the sports world. The only problem was that Paige hated sports, and knew nothing about them. How can she catch up and plan a wedding? In desperation, she turned to her best friend, Emma, a single mother with her own business. Surely Emma can save the day? But Emma had her own life and issues that immediately intruded on wedding planning. These included a daughter starting kindergarten with a swoon-worthy teacher, a thriving business, a home, and too much happening to keep up with the passing of each day. Soon months went by, and no plans had been made. Now what?

Bride Swap by Beth Carter is a charming romantic comedy that will captivate you from the first page. This book was just what I needed. I was looking for something with a solid plot, yet more lighthearted than my usual science fiction and mystery novels. I found it in Bride Swap. This is an appealing story of love and friendship that shows how women with very different lives can form a unique friendship. The author creates a wonderful world full of relatable characters who have the same trials and struggles as women in today's society. I especially liked the way she showed their resilience and ability, not only to cope but to thrive through the unexpected twists and turns of life. This is a great, captivating novel that will keep you engaged and reading well past your bedtime.

Bride Swap by Beth Carter is a cheerful, feel-good, contemporary romance. The story revolves around the lives of two very different women who just happen to be best friends. Paige is a beautiful, poised, TV anchor, engaged to successful Trent who is the top anchor at her rival station. Emma is a single mom with an Etsy business, whose life is a mess. When Paige is pushed into a new position at Appledale TV as a traveling sports reporter she is far from happy, but she is determined to make the most of it. To help her cope with her new busy schedule, she asks Emma to be her wedding planner. Unable to refuse her friend’s cry for help, Emma agrees. The trouble is Emma’s life is already full with looking after Lucy and running her business. To top off her hectic life, when Emma meets Lucy’s new teacher, Mr. Hansen, she is thrown into a spin of infatuation that gets her volunteering for everything!

Beth Carter has written a great book that, besides a sweet romance (or two), focuses on the relationship between two friends. Although their lives are poles apart they are there for each other and, even after letting each other down, they remain best friends. This shows the power of forgiveness and kind souls. I especially loved the ‘karma effect’ surrounding Emma’s life. Being a loving and giving person, each time she has a crisis there is someone there to help her out time and again. The two friends go through a series of wonderful and abysmal events as their love lives shoot in different directions. I found Bride Swap an upbeat, thoroughly enjoyable, romance with a buoyant happy ending. I would recommend it to my friends.

Popular TV news anchor Paige Daniels hated everything about her new assignment. She had loved her nighttime news segment better. But her boss had made it clear he wanted her to be the network’s new sports reporter. Apart from her hate of sports, Paige thought it was not the best timing to have a job that needed her to travel a lot, especially now that she was secretly engaged to Trent, a news anchor at a rival TV station. She needed lots of time to plan their wedding. Luckily for Paige, her best friend Emma, an overwhelmed single mother, agrees to plan her wedding when Paige asks. However, Emma’s five-year-old daughter Lucy has just started kindergarten, and her teacher, Mr. Hansen, is the most handsome man Emma has ever seen. Emma can’t help continually volunteering for work at the school. She completely forgets about Paige’s request. Trent is anything but supportive of Paige, unlike Paige’s new handsome coworker Zach. It does not help that Trent flirts around a lot with his “fans”. Could Paige be falling for Zach? Or will she go ahead with the wedding? With little time left, will Emma manage to pull off her friend’s wedding? And is Emma into Mr. Hansen? Find out in Beth Carter’s Bride Swap.

Beth Carter’s Bride Swap is a classic romance comedy novel. If you are looking for a slow-burn romance novel laced with a compelling tale of love, romance, sports interviews, date nights, luck, deceit, and so much more, you will love this page-turner. Carter features a dynamic and fascinating cast. The intriguing plot, subtle tone, plot twists, wit, and drama had me flipping through page after page. Carter’s vivid depictions and attention to detail brought the scenes to life, plunging me into the world of a modern single mother and a female news anchor. The reading experience felt like watching a Hollywood romance comedy movie. Carter’s way of depicting the well-crafted cast’s complex emotions and bringing out their traits allowed me to connect with them. Emma’s escapades at her daughter’s school left my ribs sore. Why would she drop her daughter wearing a different outfit and then pick her up wearing another outfit on the same day? Of course, it can only be in the name of love.

Bride Swap by Beth Carter is a romantic comedy. One of the most popular anchors on television, Paige has suddenly found herself reassigned to sports. Paige hates sports, and this assignment involves a lot of travel and a hot new sidekick. Paige is engaged to a rival news anchor but no one knows about it. She won’t have time to plan the wedding with her new job, but she has a plan B. Her best friend Emma is a single mom with an Etsy business. She’ll have time to plan the wedding, won’t she? But Emma has a crush on her daughter’s teacher and keeps volunteering for school activities, leaving her little time for anything else. Agreeing to do the wedding planning, Emma struggles to juggle everything and causes major memory problems. Who is she planning the wedding for? Can she put things right before it's too late?

Bride Swap by Beth Carter is a hilarious rom-com that would make a marvelous TV movie. Be prepared for some serious hilarity and complete chaos as Emma and Paige face seemingly insurmountable obstacles in their work and private lives. This book has plenty of action in it that will grab you from the first page. It’s an easy-to-follow plot, but you really won’t know which way it will go until the end, as it twists and turns its way through ups and downs. Romance is the key theme here, but who will get married and who to? The characters are wonderfully developed into real people, easily likable and relatable – I’m sure you all know at least one person who will come to mind when you read this story. A thoroughly enjoyable read and a nice way to while away a few hours.

Beth Carter’s Bride Swap features two women struggling to make wedding plans. Paige and Trent are news anchors at competing news stations. Paige’s boss changes her job to being a traveling sports reporter for the company’s online viewers. She is stunned. Paige is clueless about sports, and traveling will make it impossible for her to make wedding plans. She remembers that Emma, a single mother, would have time. When Emma accepts the job, Paige is on a flight to Florida. Meanwhile, Emma has been doing well as an Etsy entrepreneur, making book promotion items for authors. When her daughter Lucy begins kindergarten, Emma is so smitten with teacher Mr. Hansen that she volunteers for everything. Busy with her work, a crush on Mr. Hansen, and school events, Emma knows she is forgetting something.

Beth Carter gave the alternating perspectives of Paige and Emma. Paige was lucky to have a coworker who was sports-savvy. I could tell Zach’s admiration for Paige was more than she would admit. Emma’s daughter Lucy was getting spoiled because Emma would always give in to her tantrums. I thought Nigel would become more than friends with Emma after he paid for her to have a spa day. The transitions between the views of Paige and Emma were clear and easy to follow. Funny situations entertained me and broke up the dramatic moments. It revealed the personalities of both women in their interactions with others. Just when I thought something was certain, a sudden change in direction would prove me wrong. Each event was described in vivid detail. I could envision a woman in high heels and dress clothes doing tire drills with the football player. Bride Swap is a lighthearted story that will appeal to readers who like romantic comedies.
