The Silent Witness Mystery: Case Twins Adventures by Dorian Rockwood introduces the second adventure of identical twin brothers, Paul and Dan. During an innocent photoshoot, the brothers met an owner who refused to pay in a protection racket, and his business was torched. When the gang set its sights on the store that belonged to Paul's girlfriend's father, the brothers decided to look into what was going on in their town and figure out how to stop this gang from terrorizing business owners. During their investigation, they found a small matchbook that pointed them in the direction of a restaurant. It was clear that the restaurant was only a smokescreen and that there was more going on. The brothers became targets and were subjected to physical violence and threats in an attempt to intimidate them into ending their investigation.
With two endearing young adult characters that were sure to win my heart, Dorian Rockwood crafted a gripping tale in The Silent Witness Mystery. It was a roller coaster ride of adventure, action, mystery, and humor, and I could not put it down. This page-turner had me hooked from the start until the end. With all the twists and turns, I was guessing until the end, and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were well-developed and relatable. Dan and Paul's banter was far from distracting and showed that they had a very good relationship. Despite making some dangerous choices during their investigation, Dan and Paul were set on achieving their goal. This story was beautifully written and a pleasure to read.
