Immerse yourself in an enthralling poetry collection with D.L. Finn's Deep in the Forest Where Poetry Blooms: Just Her Poetry Book Two. The collection opens with poems about the four seasons that explore the vibrant wonders of spring, the serene calmness of the summer wind, the chilling storm of autumn, and the gloomy tenor of an icy, cold winter. "In the Sea" represents the marvels one can find in the unknown if only one is brave enough to open their hearts. "Feral Cats" sheds light on the everyday lives of feral cats in Kauai. "Consequences" is a short poem highlighting the impact of each decision and choice in our lives. A man reminisces over the memories of his former lover in "Eternity's Step." In "Her Grief," a woman arrives under an old cedar tree to feel the presence of the love of her life.

D.L. Finn uses a potent mix of free verse, haikus, tankas, and micro poetry to deliver a collection of mesmerizing poems and poetic stories. Thematically, Deep in the Forest Where Poetry Blooms is rich and varied, gently beguiling readers with verses about the different seasons, forests, nature, and, toward the end, poetic stories that make you contemplate. Finn displays a poetic flair that evokes powerful emotions through allegories and metaphors that leave room for interpretation. The author also shows a knack for different poetry styles, seamlessly switching between free verse, haiku, and tanka poems, and it brings a distinct flavor to the overall collection. Readers who savor diverse poetry styles will love this collection. I highly recommend it.
