Dominion: Detectives Daniels and Remalla Book 7 is a murder mystery by J.T. Bishop. Rhonda Camplin is the main witness in the Darlia Danovia case, and she asked for an escort from Los Angeles to the trial. Rhonda thinks her life is in danger and requests Daniels and Remalla to protect her. Due to a shootout at their hotel, they arrive late for Rhonda, and their trip has a rocky start. Rhonda is paranoid, but after a few incidents, Daniels and Remalla agree with her to take the back road. A series of suspicious and deadly incidents forces Daniels and Remalla to abandon their plans and seek refuge in a stranger’s house. Daniels and Remalla will have to take matters into their own hands if they want to survive when the danger indicates that they might be the targets.

Dominion is jam-packed with action from the first page, and I could not turn the pages fast enough. J.T. Bishop took me on a roller coaster ride of murder, suspense, and danger. With all the twists and turns, I never knew what would happen next. The action never stopped, and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. It was a page-turner and fast-paced. The characters were excellent and believable. Rhonda was an excellent character. She came across as a very paranoid and scared person, but she was very strong. The story was excellently written and kept my attention until the end. The ending was a big surprise, and I did not see it coming. It was completely unexpected and yanked my feet completely out from under me.

Dominion is a work of fiction in the murder mystery, suspense, and thriller subgenres, and is the seventh novel in the ongoing Detectives Daniels and Remalla book series. The work is best suited to the general adult reading audience and was penned by author J. T. Bishop. In their latest escapade, Detectives Daniels and Remalla embark on a routine trip to LA to escort a witness back home for a trial. However, their plans take a dangerous turn when they unexpectedly encounter a blast from the past. Now traveling with two passengers, they find themselves entangled in a series of suspicious and deadly events. As they become the targets, they must take matters into their own hands to survive, facing an adversary who engages them in a perilous and unexpected game.

Author J. T. Bishop has crafted a mystery novel that is filled with tension and intrigue from start to finish. The plot is expertly constructed, with unexpected twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat and kept the stakes high for our heroes whilst also tying together previous dramas in the series. The characters of Detectives Daniels and Remalla are well-developed, and their partnership at this stage of their relationship feels suitably familiar, lived-in, and enjoyable. In a wonderful contrast to this feeling of security, the action writing is sharp, and the pacing is breakneck and unexpected to ensure that we’re always on our toes no matter how capable the heroes feel. Overall, Dominion is a gripping murder-mystery suspense thriller that will keep readers hooked until the very end. Bishop has written a compelling story that showcases the resilience and resourcefulness of her detective duo, making this a must-read for fans of the series so far.
