Double Dare by Tara Eldana is the story of Liz and Luke as they try to navigate their lives and give love a chance. Liz really didn’t like Luke. This man is the reason why her best friend Amy was left alone at the altar and she is never going to forgive him for that. However, she stupidly dares him to marry her and before she knows it, she is married to the man she doesn’t even like. But here is the thing: he is handsome and ignites a spark inside her that she thought was dormant. Luke is not letting her out of this, he won’t give her a divorce until she lets go of her prejudice and spends one night with him. But can she do it? What is holding her back?
You don’t have to write a long novel to make it entertaining and Double Dare is proof of that. Short, sweet, steamy and perfectly crafted, this story had me on the edge of my seat from the get-go. Liz and Luke are the perfect pair; they are considerate, hotheaded and exceptionally charming. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two, how they complemented each other and made it work. The chemistry was off the charts and very well developed. I enjoyed Liz’s reactions, how easily Luke got under her skin and made it hard for her to resist him. Their connection was beautiful; they tussled but, in the end, they were worth it. This is an entertaining, fast-paced novella for romance fans who enjoy solid chemistry between the protagonists!
