For Rent: The Apartment Manager Series by Erin Huss is a humor filled story. Cambria needs a miracle. She is about to be evicted, she has no money, no job, and a child to look after. This job could be the answer to her prayers. Apartment Manager at a complex in LA, accommodation thrown in, and she can have her young child with her at work. What could be better? Cambria soon realizes that the job really isn’t as prestigious as she thought and she is run off her feet. She thought looking after one child was hard work, but with the residents at this complex, it’s a bit like working at a daycare center – only it's a 24-hour job. When crime pokes its nose in, Cambria decides to turn detective as well. She joins forces with Tom, the father of her baby, and Chase, the complex maintenance man. Things aren’t quite what they should be though, and Cambria starts to wonder if she was put in place at the complex deliberately.

For Rent: The Apartment Manager Series by Erin Huss is a humorous, sometimes romantic story. It has all the ingredients that a good chick lit story needs – romance, mystery, humor, and that inevitable kick in the backside. Right from the start, this was a good story. Engaging, it took hold of me from page one and held on. It was funny, laugh-out-loud funny in places, and written in such a descriptive way that you could picture everything that was happening. Development of the main characters was excellent, leaving me in no doubt as to exactly who they were and what made them who they are. This was a fun book, a bit of a roller coaster ride and, believe me, it was well worth the read. Really looking forward to book 2 now to see where it goes from here.
