Grateful by Marnie Olson is a psychological thriller that will get inside your head. Grace Elliott just wants to escape from her life of tragedy. Kent Clark is looking for the perfect partner and leaves a trail of bodies in his quest. A deluded madman, Kent will stop at nothing to find the woman of his dreams and Grace is in his sights. Detective Erin Taylor is on his trail, though, and she won’t give up until she brings him down. As Kent closes in, Grace will have to make a choice – life or death. Does she want to fight for survival or will she let him win? Can Erin get to Kent before he gets to Grace?

Grateful by Marnie Olson is a mind-blowing thriller that will leave you breathless. It’s a fast-paced story that grows in suspense with every page; a story of life, loss, and ultimate survival. The characters are incredibly believable and well developed with their own back stories that show you who they were and what brought them to where they are. There is plenty of action, loads of plot twists, and no small amount of suspense and terror, all building to a fantastic ending. This is a story of human emotion at its best and worst, a gritty tale that will keep you awake until you’re done reading it, taking you inside the minds of the hunters and the hunted. Each chapter is written from the point of view of one character, winding together seamlessly into a compelling, intriguing tale. I was hooked from the start – you will be too. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

I loved this book. I hated it, sometimes, too, but that's because it put me inside the killer's head, and I didn't enjoy the feeling. It's brilliant, and I can't wait for the next book.

So Grate! ful. Picked this up for my quarantine bout with covid. What a ride! Marnie Olson is a writer with such clarity, specificity, and humor, dark as it may be, knowing how to hold her audience. I'm looking forward to more from her. She is definitely a 5 star!
