She would be very proud of Denise Alicea’s Heartbeats in Ink as Denise hits every note at just the right pitch. Lesser poets might try to contrive rhymes, but Denise is a master at natural rhyming. She shares her emotions from the deepest part of her heart and is transparent. This book has no illustrations because all the pictures you need are painted with her beautiful words. The poems will grab you differently as you read, but your emotions will be deeply touched. I highly recommend this book to be added to your library. This is the best poetry book I have read in years.
