Magic Thinking for Kids by Marrielle Monte, illustrated by Steven Celiceo, is an adorable children’s book intended for young kids. Its main aim is to enable them to feel confident, positive, healthy, and happy. It is also to help them become happy and healthy grown-ups. It's a fabulous and comprehensive introduction to positive affirmations. It is a message and a self-regulation tool that will be useful to both children and adults as they read them together and practice making their own affirmations.

Magic Thinking for Kids by Marrielle Monte is an empowering and beautifully illustrated non-fiction book. It will help children take in their feelings and change them through a routine to be learned and repeated with the lovely characters of this opus (which will hopefully be followed by many others). The method is clearly explained to teachers and parents at the end of the book. I particularly appreciate the “Do It Yourself” section which enables our children to invent their very own affirmations, those they really need. It is a book that helps them become independent, positive adults. What else could we want for our sons and daughters? Being confident, ready to take on challenges, ready to learn, to study, to live a full and enjoyable life, ready to make the right choices or the wrong ones and change are some of the things this book will enable them to do. The author would like schools to teach those messages and I (as a teacher) could not agree more! Thank you for this gem of a book!

Magic Thinking for Kids by Marrielle Monte is an inspiring storybook brimming with energy and joy. Children enjoy magic, but the trick they will learn in this book is real and something that they can practice - the magic of thoughts and words. It teaches children that they have the power to change their feelings through spoken affirmations. Every page has an exercise, which makes this book a great read-out-loud activity. 'I am a good thinker, I am a caring friend, and I make good decisions' are a few examples of the say-it-out-loud affirmations. While a child may not feel that these thoughts are true, it will somehow help to rewire their brain to develop a more confident attitude.

At an early age, children’s thought processes absorb ideas like a sponge. Magic Thinking for Kids is written to teach children how to cultivate an optimistic mindset. The book is easy to read and has attractive illustrations. Marrielle Monte demonstrates to young readers how to practice positive thinking through affirmations. Kids who cultivate a positive mindset are said to be more resilient and are less likely to give up when faced with challenges. Steven Celiceo’s magnificent illustrations of highly spirited kids on every page amplify that message. It’s a brilliant instructional story and highly recommended for anyone who wants to teach children the value of optimism and bolster their well-being.

Magic Thinking for Kids: Fun with Affirmations by Marrielle Monte is not just a fun book filled with wonderful illustrations and statements. It is an empowering tool to help kids learn how to build the habit of positive thinking to the degree that it will become a genuine feeling. Children of all ages are encouraged not just to mimic words, but to invest their whole body, mind, and mental attitude into the positive statements they are making. They are also given specific tips on how to change a negative perspective to a positive one. No, life isn’t always one big positive affirmation, but, for the most part, what children will learn is that they can let go of any negative thoughts that might be hanging around by moving forward in a positive direction.

The story is illustrated by Steven Celiceo. His illustrations are so vibrant, colorful, and right on point in that they show children not just affirming the positive but demonstrating the affirmations with their bodies and with their expressions. I could actually feel the vibrant energy coming from some of the drawings, which is great because that’s the power of heartfelt and real affirmations. Several drawings and affirmations really touched me. For example, the one that says, “I am thankful,” the one that says, “I am loveable,” and my favorite that says, “I let my heart lead me.” I’ve named just these three, but there are lots more of them. As a reader of these kinds of books for adults, I can easily say this book is such an authentic teacher of positive affirmations and thinking. The illustrations have depth and meaning and help children to know how positivity can be incorporated into practically every aspect of their lives. My thanks to you, Marrielle Monte, for such a solid primer and inspiring work.

The effect of positive affirmation on the human brain and the human psyche is tremendous, but most people have yet to realize this. Negative thoughts hurt a person’s life as much as positive thoughts have the opposite effect. A positive mindset is vital for any human being, and it should be fostered from an early age. In her book Magic Thinking for Kids, Marrielle Monte creates awareness about children having a positive mindset by teaching them about the power they have via their thoughts, the power of their thoughts, how they can think positively, and the power of a positive mindset.

Magic Thinking for Kids by Marrielle Monte is a great book for kids. Marrielle Monte adopts a very easy-to-read style of writing. Her sentences are simple and use age-appropriate vocabulary. This makes it easy for any young reader to understand her message. She writes engagingly, asking thought-provoking questions. Marrielle Monte urged me to think big and positive about myself and does this by maintaining a friendly tone in her writing. Marrielle Monte knows how to teach and make one believe in themselves. I loved the pictures in the book, and I believe every kid will love them. She uses these to reinforce or emphasize her ideas and message. The pictures also make the book impressively colorful and appealing. Magical Thinking for Kids will change your child’s way of thinking and will help them see life in a positive way.
