Bob is often misunderstood because he uses jokes for every situation including ones that don’t need humor. To make matters worse, his tales are not usually funny. He’s relaxed and doesn't seem to take anything seriously. But he wants to redeem himself with his colleagues, so when he was tasked to deliver an important document to a law firm with a tight deadline, he promises himself that he will succeed at it. But unfortunately for Bob and the company he works for, he didn't submit the right document. Now Bob has to turn everything around, not only for him, but also for his family and coworkers. How will Bob do it in Misunderstood Bob: A Romantic Comedy of Modern Day Errors by Jan Day.

Bob was annoying and facetious at first, but it was implied that he was just misunderstood, though no further explanations were given about the misunderstood part. He was careless, unrefined and he can’t do even the simplest things, but he really changed and developed towards the end. Or maybe it was just his luck that changed; still, I liked Bob better towards the end of the book. Other than Bob, I also liked his daughter, Janelle, a strong and resilient kid. What I liked most about Misunderstood Bob was how it ended, because it all turned out for the better. The little love story was also cute. Jan Day wrote a funny and amusing novel.
