Pack Shift is the fourth installment of The Wolves of Rock Falls series by A J Skelly. Having followed the members of the three united packs, I couldn't be happier to have finally found an extremely talented author and an incredibly new and exciting paranormal series, easing a literary itch in me that had not been scratched in such a long time. Raven and Bowen, Rachel and Kyp, and Megan and Sam were all in wonderfully successful relationships, leaving Raven's brother, Cade, and the love of Cade's life, Sarah, having to run around behind people's backs just for a moment alone together. Sarah finally tells her dad of her true feelings for Cade Rivers, which sadly coincided with her Alpha father breaking the news that he had lined up four potential suiters to compete for Sarah's hand. The news shatters both Cade and Sarah who are forbidden to interact during the time each of the potential suitors tries to woo her. Backing out now would start a war between the werewolf clans and it was only for three weeks - so what could possibly go wrong? Facing a future eternally bound to a spoiled brat, a set of bizarre twins, and a fourth who was as equally charming and funny as Cade, it was about to be pure hell on the loved-up couple with their lives on hold.

Paranormal romance novels such as those written by A J Skelly are so few and far between. I have read many books over the years and The Wolves of Rock Falls has given me all the feels, with smiling, laughter, sadness, anger, and more. The characters in the stories are extremely well-rounded and ever-loyal. Through the good and the bad, the friendships between the three packs are so tight that each member knows that they always have a shoulder to lean on and a friendly ear in times of need. A J Skelly's writing is always clever and well-edited, giving the reader an easy and enjoyable experience each and every time. One of the best things about Pack Shift is that each of the characters (with the exception of the evil and overtly annoying ones) is relatable, realistic, and easy to empathize with. I may well give all four books in The Wolves of Rock Falls another thorough read just to boost my happiness in between novels. After immensely enjoying Pack Shift, I look forward to what A J Skelly brings to the table next. Readers will need to keep an eye out for these adventurous and heart-tugging novels in their nearest bookstore.
