Text Me by Erin Bevan is a sweet tale of love lost and won. Erika is dumped by her boyfriend by text message and, almost a year later, she still isn’t over him. When she learns that he is her new boss, she goes all out to find herself a date to the company Valentine dance to stop him from realizing she still loves him. She tries speed dating and then spots a lonely-hearts ad from someone who sounds like he fits the bill. Grayson should never have listened to his brother and dumped Erika the way he did. He is also looking for a date to the Valentine dance and his brother suggests he places a lonely-hearts ad – which he does. Imagine his surprise when Erika answers the ad, not realizing who he is. She hates texting, but this is the only way to keep in touch with the new man in her life. What will happen when Grayson and Erika meet, face to face again? Will she fall at his feet or run as fast as she can?

Text Me by Erin Bevan is a sweet story, a quick read that will help you to pass a couple of hours. It was well written and full of humor, making me chuckle out loud at times as I read it. It has all the ingredients of a neat short story – a bit of action, plenty of humor, and a great plot. The characters were developed very well and, although it is only a short story, I got to know the characters very well. The storyline was spot-on, one that I have no doubt many people can identify with, and it made a refreshing change to read an age-old love story with a unique twist to it. Great book, and I hope to read more from Erin Bevan in the future.
