In The Amber Conspiracy by Gil Cope, a fast paced, action packed novel much in the vein of the Da Vinci Code, Jake Monroe is a treasure hunter acquiring priceless works of art for museums and art collectors. A bit of a maverick, Monroe is the epitome of an all-American, a handsome man whose book of his exploits around the world has landed him on numerous best-seller lists. A descendant of a presidential Monroe, his most recent quest is for the Amber Room, called the Eighth Wonder of the World, said to have been destroyed during the reign of the Nazis. But it looks like the Amber Room wasn't actually destroyed at all and Monroe soon finds he's in a fight for his life when his friend and mentor, Urie, gets murdered right before his eyes. Someone else is searching for the Amber Room, someone who will stop at nothing to keep him from discovering it.

With help from Kira, Urie's beautiful grand-daughter, Monroe will begin a quest that will take him from America, to Europe and the west coast of Africa and will have him traversing the bottom of the sea, brushing against the cloak and dagger methods of the world's most secret society. Told in an engaging style and with cinematic flare, The Amber Conspiracy by Gil Cope is perfect for readers addicted to Dan Brown and who love a good conspiracy.

I once read that the goal of a writer is a good story well told and The Amber Conspiracy by Gil Cope achieves all of that and more. Cinematic and engaging, The Amber Conspiracy draws you in right from the beginning all the way to its shocking conclusion. It's a novel I definitely expect to see on the silver screen.

Jack Monroe has been looking for the Amber Room for many years and when Urie Roskopf, an expert in the Amber Room, asked to meet with him, Jack thinks he has some important information about the artifact. But Urie was killed before they got the chance to talk and if Jack doesn't stop his search for the room he might be next. Teaming up with Kira Solomon, Urie’s granddaughter, the two believe if they find the Amber Room they will also know who killed Urie and why. So they travel all over the globe and fight off continuous attempts at their lives in search of the elusive object in The Amber Conspiracy by Gil Cope.

The Amber Conspiracy by Gil Cope is an invigorating read from the very beginning. Reading it was an adrenaline-charged experience. I was intrigued to be reading about the Amber room, something I haven’t heard about before. Its connection with the Illuminati made it even more interesting. As the story progresses, it was obvious that big players were involved and when Kira realized the enemies’ plans, I was so thrilled. I didn't expect something like that to be in their scheme and the author is a genius for thinking of it. That plan hasn’t been carried out yet so I am hoping there is a follow-up to this book. The story was very fascinating and the ending even more so. The action and adventures, the characters’ dangerous voyage from land to the seas were captivating. The book was written very well and the story flowed easily. I loved how the story was told in the past and present, giving a more solid back story to the Amber Room. It was definitely engaging and a page turner.

Conspiracy meets thriller in Gil Cope’s The Amber Conspiracy. What does a sacred relic, a secret society, and a mysterious amber room have in common? Jack Monroe is hot on the trail, searching for the infamous Amber Room. When Urie, a good friend and colleague, is killed right in front of him, Jack realizes he is closer than he thought in discovering the ancient room. Joining forces with Urie’s granddaughter, Kira, the dynamic duo begin following the historical bread crumbs laid out before them. Diving into the depths of uncertainty, the arduous adventure leading to the Amber Room is littered with bodies and blood. What is hidden within the walls of this priceless artifact? Caught in the maze of mystery, Jack and Kira are being pursued by the guardians of a sacred secret. Will they uncover the mystery of The Amber Room, or will death take its toll?

Gil Cope writes an epic cloak and dagger thriller. The Amber Conspiracy takes you back into history and then catapults you into the present. Cope easily fluctuates back and forth in time, chronicling the journey of the relic and the location of the Amber Room. The vast array of characters, past and present, were easy to visualize; they were described with intricate precision. The historical accuracy of the Nazi regime, Knights Templar, and the origins of the Free Masons gave foundational depth to the plot scheme. Full of action, sensory descriptions and on the edge adventure, The Amber Conspiracy reads like a motion picture. As the plot develops, it broadens, taking you down many curious pathways before it ultimately narrows into its climax. By not disclosing the true nature of the relic, Cope keeps the reader curiously engaged in the mystery. He waited to reveal the truth until the pinnacle of the plot. Descending the falling action of the story, I was pleasantly surprised with The Amber Conspiracy’s clever ending.

The Amber Conspiracy by Gil Cope follows a dealer in antiquities named Jack Monroe while he searches to find the truth behind a murder. Urie Roskopf was a renowned Amber Room expert and it does not take long to decide that the murder is related to the missing wonder, the Amber Room. It is said that this Amber Room is a priceless treasure that was made by King Frederick I in the 18th century but that it was also tied to the debatable secret society called the Illuminati. Join Jack Monroe and Urie’s granddaughter Kira as they try to solve the murder and go back and learn more about the Amber Room and the secret society that was in charge of it.

This book is truly full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing and enjoying every moment. I had never heard of the Amber Room before so it was fantastic to learn about this old item. You can tell that Mr. Gil Cope put a great deal of work and research into his novel. The flow of the novel between history and murder mystery is fantastic and makes it that much more entertaining. If you are looking for a book that is going to give you everything you want in one place, this the read for you. I found every turn of the page to be a new wonder of excitement and something I enjoyed. If you want to be fully taken into a book and enjoy the reading experience, choose this book.
