Author Biography

Joleen Michellie, mom of three, lives in the woods of Northern Idaho. A far cry from the city streets of Southern California, where she grew up. She resides in a small, rural town with her husband and youngest son. Joleen enjoys traveling to visit friends and family and vacationing on the coast.

Joleen Michellie has written, illustrated several children’s picture books. Most recently she has released her first mid-grade chapter book, The Case of The Missing Tooth Fairy. She pulls inspiration from her life, not only from her amazing children, but also from the many places she’s lived and the vast array of jobs she’s had over the years.

While she enjoys working at the local school as a sub and running a caregiving business out of her home, it is clear to all who know her, where her passions truly lie. Joleen is on fire. She is determined to make book writing become her day job. There are more exciting things to come as she is also branching out of her comfort zone and into another genre. Joleen is currently writing a YA novel, Fight for America- Regaining Freedom. It’s her first attempt at such a large undertaking, and she’s loving the challenge. We can expect great things from this ambitious author-preneur.

The Case of The Missing Tooth Fairy is a delightful children’s book written and illustrated by Joleen Michellie. The story unravels as Annabelle MacShannon loses her tooth and places it inside her pocket on the way home from school. As her family prepares for a busy weekend, Annabelle forgets all about her tooth. She soon worries that the tooth fairy will not come and leave her the wish coins. Fortunately, Annabelle's Nana tells her and her sister Marysue about the fairy world's inner workings and the wish coins' magic. Her stories help to ease Annabelle's worries. Then, at home, Annabelle finds her tooth in the pocket where she left it and places it under her pillow. Will the tooth fairy visit Annabelle and give her some wish coins?

Joleen Michellie’s The Case of The Missing Tooth Fairy is a charming children's book. It has all the elements that should capture the hearts of young readers.
