The Daedalus Protocol is a work of fiction in the thriller, historical mystery, action, and suspense subgenres. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience and was penned by author Jeff Sheckter. In this gripping work that sees modern disaster paired with a deep dive into humanity’s archaeological past to search for answers, we find ourselves facing a dangerous pandemic that has wiped out crops, livestock, and, if we’re not careful, humanity as a result. Our protagonist, SEAL commander Gryphon Oake, embarks on a quest to get to the root of who is trying to end our world and why, and in doing so, he uncovers an exploration of the nature of immortality that will rock everything he thinks he knows about history.

Author Jeff Sheckter has crafted a fantastic work of thriller fiction that fans of the likes of Dan Brown will absolutely devour. This novel has everything you could seek in this kind of archaeological-conspiracy-mystery work, from our highly capable and intelligent hero, Oake, through to the series of experts and strange characters he meets along the way. There are intriguing red herrings, distractions, and disasters aplenty that keep the plot fresh, and through it all, Oake guides us with confident narration and a sense of security that, no matter what happens, our hero will prevail somehow. The descriptive quality of the work is also immense, offering cinematic vistas of the novel’s varied locations and glimpses into history that evoke multi-sensory, immersive sensations. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend The Daedalus Protocol to fans of conspiracy thrillers everywhere for its well-penned narrative and quality plotting.

The Daedalus Protocol by Jeff Sheckter is an action-adventure with a healthy dose of science fiction. An eccentric billionaire called Daedalus assembles a team for a dangerous mission that, if successful, will save the human race from certain destruction. They must find the source of a mysterious elixir that has incredible healing powers before an evil man named Basileus does. Daedalus and his team follow cryptic clues that take them around the world to places mentioned in ancient religious texts, looking for artifacts that no one has seen in over two thousand years. With each step in their journey, the stakes get higher, and a final battle between good and evil becomes imminent.

The Daedalus Protocol is an enjoyable read on several levels. Its number one strength is a strong cast of characters on both sides of the good versus evil battle. Daedalus’ team of treasure hunters is exceptionally well written, each having their own colorful personality and specific skill set. Their interaction with one another, whether solving puzzles in the lab or sneaking around in ancient caves, is intelligent, clever, and often very funny. Another strength of this book is its mix of modern-day heroes with ancient stories. For readers, no one can say for sure that the ancient writings of various world religions are entirely false. Even the most skeptical person has to concede that the miracles of the past could have happened. This book beautifully expresses that sense of wonder and “what if.” The result is an exciting treasure hunt covering thousands of miles across the globe and years into the past. The Daedalus Protocol is a fun, exciting novel that I highly recommend.

The Daedalus Protocol by Jeff Sheckter is a gripping thriller. The world is about to face near extinction; a deadly pathogen has destroyed livestock and crops across the globe, and if it can’t be stopped, famine is inevitable. Only one man has the resources and technology to stop it; his name is Daedalus, and he has an army of scientists and soldiers ready to fight. Gryphon Oake, SEAL commander, leads the team on the hunt for the only thing that can stop the pathogen—a treasure buried long ago. Their travels take them to the heart of the Catholic Church, but time and a crazy evangelist are against them. They must get to the Fountain of Youth and delve deep into the past to save the future.

The author describes The Daedalus Protocol as “pulse-pounding,” which is an apt description for this story. An action-packed adventure, it takes you on an archaeological journey full of centuries-old puzzles that keep you guessing. The twists and turns are dizzying, and you’ll be on the edge of your seat as the story takes you in different and unexpected directions. The characters are quite diverse, well-developed, and likable, and the plot is unique and scary because there’s nothing to say this kind of thing couldn’t happen in the future. I enjoyed this story; it kept me reading all the way through, and I was fully invested in the plot and the characters. If you like thrillers and archaeological adventures, you’ll love The Daedalus Protocol by Jeff Sheckter.

The Daedalus Protocol is a thriller by Jeff Sheckter. Dr. Aliyah Tzion was sought out because of her sharp analytical mind, and she was recruited to join an elite team. Aliyah’s new employer, Daedalus, was building a task force to find a way to kill a deadly microorganism that had been released and was killing livestock and destroying crops as it spread. If not halted in time, there would be worldwide implications, and food scarcity was certain. Daedalus had unlimited resources and possessed the most advanced technology to assist Aliyah and the team. SEAL Commander Gryphon Oake was their leader, and they must find a long-buried treasure that is essential to saving the world. They are racing against time, and secrets from the past must be uncovered to secure the world’s future.

The plot of The Daedalus Protocol was intriguing and complex. Jeff Sheckter has a brilliant mind for generating suspense and action. I was hooked from the start and just kept turning the pages. I enjoyed the sense of urgency to find a way to destroy the microorganism, and the tension kept me on the edge of my seat. I could not predict what would happen next with all the surprises. The characters were authentic, and each had a unique set of skills. They were tough and determined to succeed in their task. The characters had different personalities but fulfilled their duties as a team. The story was brilliantly written, and I was impressed with how the plot came together. The story exceeded all my expectations.

In The Daedalus Protocol by Jeff Sheckter, the world faces near extinction due to a deadly pathogen sweeping the globe, killing off mankind’s primary food sources—livestock and crops. This near extinction is opposed by a man of mystery, Daedalus, who has access to extremely advanced tech and the resources needed to bring together a team of soldiers and scientists to halt the plague. Among these capable soldiers is SEAL commander Gryphon Oake, the man chosen to locate the Fountain of Youth with the hope that it will be enough to stop the oncoming extinction of humanity. Do Daedalus and Gryphon Oake have what it takes to save humanity from the plague, or will they also perish from it?

The Daedalus Protocol by Jeff Sheckter is a thriller that would appeal most to a mixed audience of mature young adults and adults who enjoy fast action, mystery, and suspense. This is a well-written novel with never a dull moment. The author did an amazing job creating characters that I could not help but be pulled in by. I have to say that SEAL commander Gryphon Oake was my favorite character. The book also had an archeological element to it, with the focus on the ancient tombs that reminded me a bit of an Indiana Jones movie feel to it but in a more modern way. Overall, I greatly enjoyed reading this book, and I hope the author decides to expand upon it to make it into a series.
