The Infinity Bloom by Katherine Espano is the story of Anna Purnell. She lives in a crazy world that is being destroyed and turned upside down by a plant. The change starts with children, or maybe not. But people are changing all over the world and it is not that good. The infinity plant is the main culprit, but not many people are worried about the effects it has on people. If that wasn’t enough, Anna is trying to keep her family safe, but it is hard when her life is in such turmoil.

Jake Kinley comes into her life and now, on top of everything else, she is having conflicted feelings between him and the man she has loved all her life. She can’t be in love with two different people. She can’t. But when she is being pulled into a world that she does not have any connection to other than Jake, it gets hard. However, everyone has secrets, deadly secrets. In a world so twisted, can she find any place that is safe? Is anyone human anymore?

This was intense. I usually don’t read dystopian novels, but after reading the blurb I just had to read the novel. Anna was a cool protagonist; she was headstrong, focused and genuinely human. Her struggle with her love life, her need to get away but still remain behind because of her family was what made her real. I won't say much more because it would have spoilers. You NEED to read this novel to understand the depth and complexity that makes it so beautiful. Huge thumbs-up to Espano for writing such an amazing novel.
