The Little Blogger by Viga Boland is a fun, educational story based on true life. Maddie is a precocious child whose parents are separated. She lives with Granny, and when Maddie decides she wants to be a blogger, just like Granny, she is given the best advice – don’t make it up, just tell it like it is. So she does. This is Maddie’s blog. Maddie thinks about something different every day and writes her observations, questioning why adults say things that don’t make sense, at least not to a 6-year-old girl. Join Maddie on her journey and see what you can learn from her and your own life, and meet her family along the way.

The Little Blogger by Viga Boland is based on the author’s granddaughter, and it is a funny read. It highlights the things that adults say and do and how they must seem from a child’s point of view. The book has plenty of scribble art that also acts as a coloring book for kids in the printed version and some real-life photos, too. This is a fun read, something different, as we explore life through the eyes of a young girl. Her candid observations will have even the most hardened adults considering things they say and their actions and questioning themselves. Short but sweet, this book will have you in stitches all the way through. Forget the usual kids' story books about talking animals and adventures. The biggest adventure is real life and this book really does tell it like it is.
