I loved Time Swept; it’s a very easy read. It’s reminiscent of the 2006 Sandra Bullock movie The Lake House. I loved how Casi McLean masterfully switched between 1883 and the present day; it was seamless, and I didn’t get lost. I enjoyed the contrast between the 1800s diction and modern diction; I thought she did a great job depicting both, especially Dani’s idioms, which were usually lost on Nathan and the rest. I also liked how she ended each chapter on a somewhat ominous and abrupt note; it created suspense. From the get-go, I loved the chemistry between Nathan and Danica. If you’re looking for a feel-good romance novel with a dash of mystery and thrilling suspense, then Time Swept by Casi McLean is a perfect fit.

Nathan and Dani are the obvious standouts, but I also enjoyed the personalities of the Holloway sisters, McKenzie and Arabella. The love story works out seamlessly with the engaging chemistry between Nathan and Dani. For readers who are itching for a cozy time travel mystery featuring romance and intrigue, this one is for you!
