Vertinos by Kimberley Ritchie is an erotic adventure with a science fiction style setting. Veronica had made her billions, had access to all the latest gadgets, even those not yet available to the public. But she got her kicks and entertainment another way - she lived a double life. She plays at being normal, working a job in her own company, playing the role of a worker, unseen, unnoticed, but there was someone she wished would look her way. She also had another secret; Vertinos, a fully functional female robot capable of everything a human can do, and unknown to mankind. She is a marvel. Veronica was working on a special serum, and this latest batch held such promise, until she realised her pet was no longer under her control. Rob, the sexbot, has not only broken free of her control, but he knows that Vertinos is but a vessel being controlled, and now he's coming for her, but what exactly he wants is unclear.
Graphic sex, revenge, and dark desires make Vertinos by Kimberley Ritchie an interesting read. There are some fascinating and unique ideas presented in an easy to understand manner while embracing futuristic technology. The science behind some aspects is explained to give credibility to potential devices. There is an aspect of mystery to the story, and a twist that the reader will not see coming near the end. The character cast is unusual and, whatever you think is going to happen, you are in for a surprise.
