A young girl and her fluffy little dog enjoy seeing the wonders of nature found in their yard in Julie Nichole’s colorful children’s book In My Yard. The story’s characters see innumerable delights outside their home through large picture windows. Birdfeeders attract many bird species, ranging from sizable turkeys to tiny hummingbirds. And, true to life, chipmunks and squirrels also enjoy eating the seed from the popular feeders. Larger animals also pass by, including deer, coyotes, and a family of bears. Concluding the day, the girl and her dog watch the stars in the night sky, reflecting on the many amazing animals they have seen.

More than ever, kids' entertainment draws them inside, revolving around television, video games, the internet, and other digital distractions. How refreshing In My Yard is in encouraging young ones to appreciate the marvels and beauty of the natural world. The variety of animals around our homes, along with their wild antics, can be an exciting spectacle. Julie Nichole utilizes rhyming text to detail the scenes, vividly depicted in full-page illustrations. The artwork by Blueberry Illustrations is captivating and attractive, using bright colors and smiling faces to portray the enchanting outdoor creatures. My favorite scene includes a pair of turtles observing the fish, frogs, and dragonflies dancing around the edge of a pond. An excellent choice for parents looking to redirect their children’s attention to the beauty of the natural world. In My Yard is a charming picture book that helps young ones appreciate nature and animals.

The wonders of nature will never cease to amaze with In My Yard by Julie Nichole. Follow along as we look into the world and see all that Mother Nature has to offer, from tiny birds to even smaller bees. You can see so many animals in your backyard; you just have to take the time to see them all. Whether day or night, if you take the time to stroll outside, you might see something amazing.

In My Yard by Julie Nichole looks at the wonders of nature found in one's yard, from birds flitting around the bird feeders to the turtles swimming about in the pond. The colorful illustrations done by Blueberry Illustrations perfectly complement the story with bright scenes of the story's descriptions. I think the concept of this book is really good, especially in an era where children are given access to technology from a very young age and aren't exposed to the outdoors as they were in the past. In My Yard encourages children to take an interest in the outside world, starting with a place that is familiar and easily accessible to them - their backyard. The book also allows young children to increase their vocabulary with new animal terms while learning through a fun and engaging story. In My Yard is very well written, and I think young children would enjoy it both for the colorful imagery and the fun rhyming story.

A wonderful picture book that delightfully captures the sights and sounds in a backyard, In My Yard by Julie Nichole inspires readers to take in the wonders surrounding them. Bird feeders hanging on poles in the beautiful yard attract many amazing birds and animals. Various colored birds, including turkeys and tiny hummingbirds, come to feed. Busy bumble bees fly from flower to flower and chipmunks prepare for the winter by gathering food. Different animals frequent the yard, but there are a few surprises when new animals show up, hoping to find some food. Some animals prefer to come out at night, while others love the yard’s green clover. Every day, the animals and birds bring joy to those who watch them.

Stunning pictures of the animals and their surroundings portray the setting. The illustrations add beautiful detail and will help young readers identify the animals in their own backyards. The sentences include rhyming words that facilitate reading and recalling the words used. I found the setting spectacular, and the story inspired me to notice nature’s beauty in familiar places. The informative content will help young readers identify various animals and birds. It will also ignite in them a desire to learn more about other animals and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. In My Yard by Julie Nichole is an absorbing picture book that encourages young readers to explore the world around them and discover the amazing animals that live in it through its enchanting illustrations. Highly recommended.
