Transformed by Love: Finding Freedom in the Father’s Heart by Kelly Wheeler is an inspirational 40-day devotional. Each day offers encouragement and hope in the form of a letter from God. Many challenging issues that everyone experiences are dealt with, from striving to practicing forgiveness. At the end of each reading scripture, references are given and Wheeler invites the reader to reflect on how the message may apply to his or her life. Daily guidance is given in how to effectively and positively deal with life’s challenges and the doubts we all face from time to time. Wheeler shares trials she has experienced in her own life and how a life-changing encounter with God healed her. The support and hope that the author received are shared in these pages.
Transformed by Love: Finding Freedom in the Father’s Heart by Kelly Wheeler is an enjoyable devotional. This is a book that can be read 40 days in a row and also one that can be picked up and opened for comfort and hope on difficult days or in trying times. I really liked the constant reminders throughout this book that God loves us and is always by our side. In the complex and at times chaotic world we live in, these reminders of God’s love and guidance are very soothing to the soul. This devotional offers moments of peace and reflection. Although many different topics are addressed in this book, I feel that the overarching theme is to know that God loves each of us wholly and unconditionally.
