Vengeance Required by Alisa A. Murray is the book that will touch your heart, as Ovasta Kaiser loses everything thing dear to her. If Ovasta could freeze the moment when everything in her life was perfect, she would. Her boyfriend, Vince, proposes marriage on the day she finds out if she will become the new board president at the hospital where she works. Her best friend for decades, Riya, starts dating again. Everything changes the night she accepts her new position. Vince leaves the celebration to attend to an emergency, and Ovasta gets caught in a compromising position. Her body will heal, but the torment to her soul will not find relief as long as those responsible walk free. Denied justice, Ovasta takes revenge, but it leaves a bittersweet taste.
Vengeance Required by Alisa A. Murray is a novel that reflects the lives of those wronged, and to whom justice is just a dream. Though you can't dish out the vengeance Ovasta does, it gives some satisfaction that she found a new purpose in life. At one point, you know what path the author is going to send Ovasta down, but it twists, and you end up nowhere near where you expected to be. I love how the pace quickens as the road gets darker. You can almost feel the anger and determination seeping through the pages. The characters come alive and you forget you are reading a book. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and anticipate seeing more from this author.
