Walk With Me: One Hundred Days of Crazy is a romantic and bittersweet work of fiction penned by author Ernesto H Lee. Written for mature audiences, but not overly graphic in its romantic content, this tale focuses on love later in life. Our central hero Mark Rennie is a man who once thought he had a perfect life all figured out, but then his life and health fall apart aged forty-one. In a world of difficult choices, Mark chooses to drift the streets of London in search of some kind of answer. When he finds Karen, however, he gets a lot more than he was looking for.

This is an emotional and unusual love story in the realm of tragic romances, but it has so many beautiful and uplifting qualities in spite of the situation that Mark finds himself in. The backdrop of London is well drawn to bring out the atmosphere of each moment in Mark and Karen’s relationship, and author Ernesto H Lee has a cinematic sense of how to construct scenes and move the plot along without any unnecessary details derailing it. The narration is personal, close to the characters, and sensitive in matters of health, the future and the notion of hope. What results is an emotionally intelligent and realistic romance that will grip its readers from start to finish. Overall, Walk With Me: One Hundred Days of Crazy is a rollercoaster ride with stylish narration, compelling dialogue and a plot you’ll cry over again and again.

Walk With Me: One Hundred Days of Crazy by Ernesto H Lee is the inspiring story of Mark and Karen. When oncologist Dr. Alan Bleakley informed Mark that he had stage 4 cancer, Mark was left with two choices: either risk surgery or live the rest of his days to the fullest. He had made up his mind to follow his logical brain and go with the surgery; however, this choice became utterly difficult when Karen walked into his life. Although she had no options left to fight her cancer, her zest for life and determination to live her remaining days as crazily as possible filled Mark with awe. He was smitten with Karen right from the first moment he laid eyes on her. After one crazy night and quite a bit of persuasion, Mark agreed to take a break from work to join Karen on her trip to various countries, which she called One Hundred Days of Crazy.

There are no words to adequately describe the pain that a cancer patient goes through, but the positive outlook that the author has presented in Walk With Me is remarkable. Karen's resolution to live each day to its full potential is absolutely genius. She does not let anything, including cancer, stop her from cherishing her final days. On several occasions, cancer forced her to modify her plans, but she did not let that bring her down. She kept moving forward with the same tenacity as ever. Karen's positivity touched Mark and he, too, began to appreciate each day with all his heart. There is so much to learn from the love story of Mark and Karen. We are so lost in the daily hustle that we let life slip by; only a reminder of our mortality can bring us to actually cherish our precious lives.

Walk With Me by Ernesto H Lee is one of those books that inspire you and keep you hooked. The mention of cancer in the plot is bound to give the impression that it will be an intensely emotional ride, but that presumption is highly mistaken. The One Hundred Days of Crazy bucket list is quite entertaining and very informative. Travel enthusiasts will get a lot of quality information about many places, like Amsterdam, Mexico, China, Japan, etc. Walk With Me: One Hundred Days of Crazy by Ernesto H Lee is a fascinating book packed with craziness, emotions, family, and love (lots of love).

Mark Rennie lived his life the way he wanted to. At forty years of age, Mark was a successful businessman enjoying life and the fact that he would soon be married to a beautiful woman. However, the illusion was shattered when Mark found that he had aggressive cancer. His oncologist suggested surgery, which he had, but his outlook was not good. Depressed and out of his mind, he meets Karen, a woman who just might be what he needs. Karen has no options left to fight her cancer and the only thing she can do now is try to live her best possible life. Smitten and a little bit hopeful, Mark embarks on a journey with Karen where they travel the world together and learn to live life the way it should be lived in the happiest and craziest way possible.

Walk With Me: One Hundred Days of Crazy by Ernesto H Lee is a novel about love, acceptance, and learning to live in the moment. We are all guilty of it and we all take our present for granted while we push for the future. This is something that happened to Mark Rennie in this novel. He kept looking forward and worked hard, only to have his life slip away from him. His story is heartbreaking as well as encouraging. The author did a great job of creating an atmosphere that is sensitive yet hopeful. There were emotional ups and downs in the story, but the author kept the momentum going and ensured that the reader enjoyed the journey with Mark and Karen. While the topic of cancer is very bleak, the author added as much hope and happiness to the story as possible. To say that I got emotional reading this novel would be an understatement. I was so involved and invested in Mark and Karen that I just didn’t want their story to end. Absolutely beautiful!

Walk With Me: One Hundred Days of Crazy by Ernesto H Lee is the story of a man’s search for hope and meaning after losing everything. Mark Rennie is a successful businessman, a commodities trader who lives in luxury and flies first class. But life deals him a painful blow and sends him spiraling towards misery. In the blink of an eye, he loses his money, his fiancée walks away, and his health becomes more and more problematic. Follow him on his journey in search of answers, but what he finds aren’t answers he had expected. He finds Karen, a woman who is about to change his life. Is she the hope he’s lost or another moment of respite in a life of unrelenting pain and tragedy?

If there is one reason I’d recommend this book, it is the author's gift of creating characters that are real and that readers can resonate with easily. I love to feel that there is a part of me in a character and this author made this happen in his male protagonist. From the opening chapters, the reader is introduced to a man who has always been in control, someone who enjoys his life, but his downfall plunges him in a state of desperation and I became keen on the choices he makes. I also loved the message in this novel; the message that love heals and empowers. Mark Rennie might have lost everything, but life leaves him with a powerful lesson that love heals. The prose is gorgeous and the narrative is wonderful in the first-person narrative. I found Walk With Me: One Hundred Days of Crazy to be absorbing, a novel with a powerful tale of romance and one that explores the deep longings of the human heart.
