When you realize that almost 50% of marriages in America end in divorce, you will understand the importance of constantly working on your marriage. If you desire a marriage that survives and thrives, the advice in this workbook will help. I recommend purchasing the book this handout was written to accompany to receive the most help. Reading Your Marriage God’s Way Workbook will be important in building a relationship with your spouse that resembles Christ’s relationship with the church. Scott LaPierre wrote this workbook to help you remember the lessons found in the seminar and book. He recommends not doing more than one session per day. Praying with your spouse will build a strong marriage. One must answer, “Does the wife feel loved and the husband feels respected?” One reminder that Scott mentions is that all marriages have some conflict. Because of this, Scott explains what a good apology is and the danger of adding the word “but” to one.

Scott LaPierre’s passion for good marriages is seen in Your Marriage God’s Way Workbook. This book is written as a companion to the conference and yet still brings many truths to the surface. Scott teaches in a friendly manner. He shares what he has learned about successful marriages and makes suggestions for the reader’s marriage. The topics include love, submission, respect, and sex. According to Scott, we will have a great marriage when we examine marriage and love our spouse like Christ loves the church. This book accomplishes what it set out to do. One will remember the teachings better by writing notes and answering the questions. Read this book and commit to having a godly marriage. I wrote and led marriage retreats for over fifteen years. I would gladly include the handout, its companion book, and the conference for those seeking to improve their relationship.
