Red Heaven by A.L. Long is the first book in the Colors of Sin series. Lainey Park's once-happy life turned upside down when she caught her fiancé having an affair. She thought that marrying him would be the chance of a lifetime as it would save her parents from losing everything they had worked so hard for. One day, when Lainey was driving to Deadwood, the weather was so bad she had an accident. Luckily, a rancher from South Dakota, Rohan Dodd, rescued her from the storm after her car broke down. She took shelter at Rohan's ranch because she couldn't get to a hotel. Lainey felt that Rohan was a man to stay away from, but she didn't know that he was already falling for her. Yet, Rohan decided to learn all her secrets before giving his heart to her. Will Rohan still want to fight for Lainey's heart after he discovers her secrets?
When I started reading Red Heaven, I didn't expect to become so quickly invested in Rohan and Lainey's story. This novel has the right amount of sexual tension, desire, and hot scenarios. A.L. Long delivers a beautiful, captivating love story full of suspense, romance, and twists. There's nothing more satisfying than a story with a knockout ending that blows you away and hints at a must-read sequel. I enjoyed how the characters grow and get entangled in each other's lives in this engaging, sexy tale. I recommend Red Heaven to fans of steamy contemporary romance and stories of love against all odds.
